Running Injury

How Runners Can Recover From Injury (and Stay Running) So They Can Keep Those Nagging and Aggravating Pains Away!

A Personal Message From Running Injury Specialist Physical Therapist, Dr. Nick
This report is for Runners suffering from irritating injuries such as:
  • Lower Back Pain
  • Runner’s Knee (Knee Pain)
  • Achilles Tendinitis
  • Plantar Fasciitis (Heel Pain)
  • Hip Pain
Sharp pain, aches, and tightness can be difficult to deal with when you are trying to get your daily run in. It can keep you from participating in your next 5k or even your 1st ½ Marathon. I understand that for Runners the option to “just stop running” is not an option. Running is what you love and it’s a part of you…… many runners have told me “Running is my life!” I work closely with runners on a regular basis and what I can tell you is that resting is not the solution and that pain killers are no good because they only mask the pain. Neither of these things solve the main problem. They don’t help you understand why you are getting the pain, how to stop it, and definitely don’t empower you to learn what to do to get back to running pain free .What happens when you stop taking meds and get back to running after several weeks of rest? The pain returns and you are left frustrated and wondering what to do next. Then everyone starts telling you how THEY got rid of their heel pain, hip pain, back pain, or knee pain. But the thing is there is never a “one size fits all” fix to these different pains. Maybe you’ve already tried multiple treatments that have failed you. Sure it’s normal for runners to have aches and pains here and there…….but to have consistent pain that does not go away is NOT normal and should not be accepted as such. Often times  the pain can be alleviated by improving the body’s capacity to tolerate the stress placed on it during running. I don’t want runners to WORRY and be CONCERNED or even worse……have to have to stop running because of an injury that won’t go away. That’s why I created this free report for runners like you that discusses 5 mistakes runners make that delays healing and keeps them from running pain free. Inside this Free Report I’ve put together for the Runners in Jacksonville you will discover  “5 Big Mistakes Runners Make that Delay Healing and Keep Them From Running Pain Free” .  It includes:
  • What everyone does that actually may do more harm than good
  • Why you need to put a hold on buying anymore expensive shoes or supports
  • The one thing that Runners leave out of their training that has been proven to decrease risk of injury and also aid in the healing process.
You’ll receive all the information that gives you actionable steps to take TODAY to get back to what you love……..running…….. without having to deal with medications, injections, or surgery I work with active runners  just like you in Jacksonville to help find relief from sudden or chronic running injuries. I know so many have just accepted that pain during running is now a normal part of their lives. They are frustrated with all of the conflicting advice they have been given. They aren’t sure what to do and what not to do. This does NOT have to be you! My Free Report will explain why you there is hope that you can get back to running pain free. What  would your life look like in a 3 months or 6 months if you were able to alleviate the pain from your nagging running injury NOW ? What would you be able to do?

I was struggling with a pain in my hip since I ran a 10 mile run. I did everything I knew and could not get rid of the pain. I was limping and could not run more than 2 miles before I had to walk. I am training for the Boston Marathon!! I went to see Nick. The first visit was a thorough assessment !! I was also given exercises to do. I did them! My pain went from an 8 to a 4. After my 2nd visit, more assessment and adding another exercise, I am now running long distance totally pain free!!!!!!!! THANK YOU NICK!!

I had been experiencing pain in my heel and arch when I would run but especially when I first stepped out of bed in the morning. I signed up for an evaluation where I expected the typical chat with the doctor, a few exercises and then see him next week. I was totally wrong. He took the time to make sure he understood the issue and then came up with a game plan. The plan was for 2-6 weeks of treatments and he delivered in 4! I ran a half marathon in the hills of Kentucky with ZERO pain! I am also back getting out of bed without any issues! I have been asking my husband to go get his foot worked on and I would definitely recommend River City Physical Therapy to anyone!

For years I had been experiencing hip and knee issues while running which lead to many injuries. My previous healthcare providers could offer no solution other than to quit running. That was not an option. After one consultation and session with Dr. Nick, he was able to pinpoint the problem and provide helpful information that has allowed me to run without pain for weeks. I would recommend him to anyone that is experiencing pain or that has been advised to stop certain activities to stop the pain. He is amazing
